- Evaluated and designed a conversion plan to migrate an existing AS/400 COBOL application into a Microfocus COBOL PC-based application.
- Designed and created a financial software package for public school systems using Visual Basic 6 and SQL.

- Worked as a programmer/analyst enhancing the client’s application processing systems (ACAPS, Bureaulink, Docugen).
- Transitioned to a new team to help implement and customize a new application processing system (Capstone). This product runs in a HP UNIX environment with an Oracle database.
- Developed the File Load System which loads customer records from an IBM mainframe to the HP UNIX platform. This system also performed validity checks, reconciliation, and FTP operations.
- Designed and implemented a Test Data Creation/Test Data Loading System.

- Served as a product specialist (ACAPS, Bureaulink, Docugen) to develop a new loan origination system for a large financial institution in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Configured local area networks for businesses by wiring, installing, and training groups of users.
Information Technology Consultant, Computer Professionals, Inc., Richmond, VA. 1995 – 1996
- Acted as the liaison between a consulting firm and major banking institution in matters involving the client’s Automated Credit Application Processing System (ACAPS).
- Provided consulting and strategy planning for streamlining the processing of direct mail applications.
- Designed, coded, tested, and implemented a system of COBOL programs and JCL that manipulate data into different files and layouts in preparation for migration from an IBM mainframe to an AS/400 machine.
Information Technology Consultant, American Management Systems, Inc., Fairfax, VA. 1993 – 1995
- Designed, programmed, tested, documented, and supporting Automated Credit Application Processing System (ACAPS), Bureaulink and Docugen running in CICS on IBM mainframe computers using COBOL II.
- Redesigned the way clients perform the credit origination processes to increase efficiency.
- Directed day-to-day operations of the ACAPS system for a client as they transitioned onto a new application platform.
Software Designer / Developer, Marketplace Systems Group, Richmond, VA. 1992 – 1993
- Designed, programmed, tested, documented, and supported point-of-sale and back office applications for the NCR 7052 and 7052D. Applications leveraged the Business BASIC Extended programming language and were designed to run on a PC LAN under MS-DOS and OS/2 platforms.
- Conducted on-site training sessions with end-users of the system enabling successful closure to the client’s engagement.
